On the first anniversary of his second term as president of the United States, Donald Trump took to Truth Social to take aim at Canada, Greenland and the United Kingdom.

Before the clock even struck 1 a.m. Tuesday, Trump posted an AI-generated picture of himself meeting with other White House officials in the Oval Office. In the background is a map with Canada, Greenland and the U.S. decked out in the red, white and blue of the American flag, continuing his rhetoric that Canada should become the 51st state.

The American flag is also visible on Venezuela, which was subject to a U.S. military attack earlier this month that resulted in the capture of its leader, Nicolas Maduro.

At exactly 1 a.m., Trump continued his trolling with another AI-generated picture of himself planting the American flag into the ground in Greenland, reiterating his desire that the Danish territory be U.S.-owned.

“Greenland. U.S. territory. Est. 2026, a sign reads in the image.

The second post comes as Trump travels to Davos, Switzerland for the World Economic Forum, where he’s scheduled to speak and meet with other world leaders on Wednesday.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said Trump’s tariff threat on European countries that oppose a takeover of Greenland are “a mistake,” questioning whether the president can be trusted after he promised last year not to further impose tariffs on EU nations.

Von der Leyen said if Trump goes through with his tariff threat, the EU’s response would be “unflinching” and “united.

Prime Minister Mark Carney has said he is “concerned” about the U.S. ratcheting up its talk of taking over Greenland, and he would relay that to Trump if he sees him in Davos.

The U.S. president continued his online assault with a diatribe about “brilliant” NATO ally the United Kingdom.

In yet another post Tuesday, Trump claimed the U.K. was “planning to give away the Island of Diego Garcia” to Mauritius.

Shockingly, our “brilliant” NATO Ally, the United Kingdom, is currently planning to give away the Island of Diego Garcia, the site of a vital U.S. Military Base, to Mauritius, and to do so FOR NO REASON WHATSOEVER,” said Trump.

There is no doubt that China and Russia have noticed this act of total weakness. These are International Powers who only recognize STRENGTH, which is why the United States of America, under my leadership, is now, after only one year, respected like never before.”

Trump said the U.K. giving away “extremely important” land is an act of “GREAT STUPIDITY” and in a “very long line of National Security reasons” why Greenland has to be acquired.

“Denmark and its European Allies have to DO THE RIGHT THING,” said Trump.

United States Of America, Donald Trump.
