  1. bananas

This strawberry beet smoothie bowl is so bright and beautiful you just know it’s packed with all sorts of nutrients. Adding beets to your smoothies is a wonderful way to incorporate them into your diet more regularly and they work perfectly blended with strawberry, zucchini and banana in this delicious, healthy smoothie. This smoothie is vegan, high in protein and high in fibre.

Ingredients 

  • 1 serving, 30 g vegan vanilla protein powder
  •  1 cup 140 g frozen sliced strawberries
  • 1 small, 100 g fresh or frozen chopped beet
  •  1/2 cup 75 g fresh or frozen chopped zucchini
  • 1 cup plant-based milk of choice, 250 mL
  • 1/2 a frozen banana, 60 g

Topping Ideas

  •  fresh fruit such as sliced kiwi, banana, blueberries and raspberries
  • seeds such as chia seeds, hemp seeds and pumpkin seeds
  •  nuts such as almonds and cashews
  • Goji berries
  • Almond butter
  •  granola or cereal
  •  Cacao nibs
